Mahindra Holidays Bets on Nature Tourism with New Resort Openings

Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd has announced the launch of two new resorts in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, adding 159 rooms to its growing portfolio.
The newly opened properties — Club Mahindra Amba Ghat and Club Mahindra Bandhavgarh — mark a significant step in the company’s expansion strategy, aimed at scaling up to 1,000 additional rooms in FY26 and reaching 12,000 keys by FY30.
The company said these launches enhance its footprint across Western and Central India while tapping into rising demand for experiential travel.
Commenting on the development, Manoj Bhat, managing director and CEO of MHRIL, highlighted the shift in traveler preferences towards nature-driven destinations. He noted that locations like Amba Ghat and Bandhavgarh are increasingly popular among families seeking immersive holiday experiences.
“Destinations such as Amba Ghat and Bandhavgarh reflect the growing preference for nature-led travel. We aim to identify and develop emerging leisure destinations for India’s evolving holiday market,” he said.
The company added that the new resorts align with its long-term vision of expanding its hospitality network across diverse and unexplored destinations. With a focus on family-oriented vacations and unique experiences, MHRIL continues to strengthen its position in the leisure hospitality sector.
Industry observers note that the move comes amid a surge in domestic tourism, particularly in ecotourism and wildlife destinations, positioning the company to benefit from changing travel trends.
The latest additions reaffirm MHRIL’s commitment to growth while catering to the evolving preferences of modern Indian travelers.
