Eveready Industries India Ltd. has strengthened its rural consumer outreach in Bihar by taking its ‘Chalo SHOR Machate Hai!’ campaign to Benipur Mandi in Darbhanga, showcasing its Shor Torch DL190 to the farming community. The two-day activation, which began on August 10, combines live product demonstrations, trials and interactive engagements aimed at highlighting solutions for crop protection from animal intrusion.
The rugged, rechargeable Shor Torch DL190 features an integrated 100 dBA animal alarm, a 5W front torch offering a 1-km beam, a 3W side light and red UV strobe functionality. Powered by a 3,600 mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery with Type-C fast charging, the torch provides up to five hours of lighting and is designed for demanding rural conditions and nighttime field surveillance. Farmers can also participate in the ‘Raise the SHOR Meter’ challenge to experience its animal-deterrence features.
Benipur Mandi provides Eveready with a strategic rural touchpoint, bringing product demonstrations directly to farmers who trade, exchange information and seek practical agricultural solutions. The company is also using branded campaign vehicles and two-wheeler outreach units to reach surrounding villages and agricultural clusters.
Eveready CEO Anirban Banerjee said the campaign reflects the company’s focus on taking meaningful, purpose-led innovations directly to consumers. The Darbhanga activation is part of the wider programme spanning agricultural markets in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
