Nestlé India has reported a strong financial performance for the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2026-27 (Q1FY27), with consolidated net profit rising 48.3 per cent to ₹958.68 crore. The company attributed the growth to improved margins, higher sales volumes and strong performance across its product categories.
The maker of popular brands such as Maggi noodles and Nescafé coffee recorded a 25.1 per cent increase in revenue from operations, reaching ₹6,378.18 crore compared to the same period last year.
Nestlé India Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary said all four major product groups delivered strong double-digit growth during the quarter. He added that the company accelerated operational cost savings while continuing to increase investments in its brands, with advertising expenditure rising by more than 40 per cent.
The company also expanded its rural distribution network during the quarter, strengthening direct market reach and improving coverage. Technology-driven initiatives, including the adoption of a Distribution Management System (DMS) at the sub-distributor level, helped improve retailer engagement and execution in rural markets.
The confectionery segment recorded double-digit growth, supported by premium products and increasing e-commerce sales, with KitKat continuing to gain market share in the chocolate category. The beverages segment achieved its 20th consecutive quarter of double-digit growth, while the prepared dishes and cooking aids segment also increased market penetration. Nestlé India said the strong quarterly performance reflects sustained consumer demand, effective distribution strategies and continued investment in its brands.
