Virender Sehwag is set to make his debut as a reality TV host with Rise and Fall Season 2. The former Indian opener has stepped in as the new host, replacing former Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover.
The second season of the reality show, which is based on the popular British format of the same name, will be available on Amazon MX Player. The trailer for the upcoming season was released on Friday, September 11.
Sehwag is known for his candid personality, sharp sense of humour and straight-talking approach, and fans will now get to see him bring those qualities to the reality TV format. The series is produced by Banijay Asia.
The newly released trailer features Sehwag in a series of entertaining avatars. He is seen as Albert Einstein, a doctor and a teacher while discussing life’s rise and fall, before transforming into a suave host to introduce the show.
Speaking about the opportunity, Sehwag said, “Cricket has taught me one thing. No match is won before the final ball, and Rise and Fall Season 2 takes that unpredictability to another level. As a host, what excites me about this game is that there are no easy wins and no fixed positions.”
