Canara Robeco Asset Management Company Limited (AMC), investment manager to Canara Robeco Mutual Fund and one of India’s oldest mutual fund houses, has brought its ‘Nivesh Bus Yatra’ to Bihar to promote financial literacy and awareness of mutual fund investments.
The investor education bus began its journey in Patna before travelling through Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur, reaching Gaya as part of its statewide outreach. The initiative aims to simplify investment concepts, address common misconceptions and encourage long-term financial planning through interactive sessions and digital resources.
Rajnish Narula, managing director and chief executive officer of CanaraRobeco AMC, said the initiative had already reached 19 states and regions across India. He emphasised the importance of equipping investors with accessible and practical financial knowledge to support informed decision-making.
Gaurav Goyal, chief business officer of Canara Robeco AMC, said direct engagement with communities would help address investment-related misconceptions and promote a long-term investment mindset.
In Gaya, the campaign could strengthen awareness of mutual funds among local households, salaried professionals and small business owners. Improved financial literacy may encourage more residents to explore regulated investment options and make informed decisions based on their financial goals and risk appetite.
The company said the initiative reflects its commitment to financial inclusion and expanding investor education in underserved regions.
