Amway India steps up retail expansion, plans more stores over next four years

Amway India is strengthening its physical retail network across the country, upgrading its Imphal store and inaugurating a new Experience Centre in Gurugram as part of its multi-year growth strategy. The company plans to open or revamp several more stores over the next three to four years to deepen consumer engagement and support distributor-led business growth.

Amway Global President and CEO Michael Nelson inaugurated the Gurugram centre during his official visit. The expansion builds on the Rs 100-crore investment announced last year for multiple initiatives, including expanding the company’s physical presence in India.

Amway India currently operates more than 85 stores nationwide and has opened or revamped over 14 outlets in recent months across Pune, Kolkata, Siliguri, Imphal, Bhagalpur, Anand, Ahmedabad, Bongaigaon, Agra and Nanded, among other markets. The strategy covers metropolitan, tier-2 and tier-3 locations.

Nelson said India’s evolving consumer preferences and rising demand for trusted, science-backed health and wellbeing solutions were creating opportunities for the company. He highlighted the role of experiential centres in product discovery, personalised engagement and strengthening distributor-customer relationships.

Rajneesh Chopra, managing director of Amway India, said the centres would serve as engagement hubs rather than conventional retail outlets, supporting consumer education, community-building and entrepreneurship.

As Amway approaches three decades of operations in India, the company said its expansion would focus on consumer trust, regulatory compliance, responsible direct selling and long-term value creation, aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
