Siemens Limited has opened applications for the 14th edition of its Siemens Scholarship Program, strengthening its focus on developing skilled engineering talent and expanding access to technical education among economically disadvantaged students.
The programme provides financial assistance to deserving and meritorious students for all four years of engineering graduation. Modelled on Germany’s Dual Education approach, it combines academic learning with industry exposure to prepare students for careers in engineering, research and development and manufacturing.
A key feature of the programme is its focus on improving gender participation in technical education, with 50% of scholarships reserved for girls. Siemens said the initiative leverages its technological expertise and industry know-how to support the holistic development of young engineering students and build a sustainable talent pipeline for industry.
As of 2026, the programme has reached more than 2,300 students across 176 government engineering colleges in 28 states.
Applications are open to first-year students pursuing Mechanical/Production, Electrical, Electronics/Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Computer/Information Technology. Candidates must be aged up to 20 years, with at least 60% aggregate in SSC and 50% aggregate, including 60% in PCM, in HSC or equivalent. Annual family income must not exceed Rs 2 lakh.
