Siemens Limited has launched the 14th edition of its Siemens Scholarship Program, opening applications for deserving and meritorious first-year engineering students enrolled in government engineering colleges across India. The programme provides financial assistance for all four years of graduation to students who face financial constraints, while 50% of scholarships are reserved for girls.
Based on the German Dual Education model, the initiative combines financial support with industry-oriented learning and holistic development, with the objective of preparing students for careers in engineering, research and development and manufacturing. Siemens said the programme leverages its technological expertise and industry knowledge to strengthen technical education and create sustainable career opportunities.
In Kohima, the scholarship could provide an avenue for eligible engineering students from Nagaland to reduce the financial burden associated with higher technical education. Students from government engineering institutions who meet the income and academic criteria may particularly benefit from the four-year assistance and industry-focused development.
Eligibility covers Mechanical/Production, Electrical, Electronics/Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Computer/Information Technology. Applicants must be up to 20 years old, with minimum 60% in SSC, 50% in HSC or equivalent and 60% in PCM. Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.
Applications close on October 10, 2026. As of 2026, over 2,300 students from 176 government engineering colleges across 28 states have participated in the programme.
