Ambani’s Reliance To Invest ₹1,156 crore In Tamil Nadu

Reliance Consumer Products Limited is set to establish an integrated manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu with an investment of ₹1,156 crore, according to State Industries Minister TRB Rajaa. In a post on X, he stated that the facility will be located at the SIPCOT Allikulam Industrial Park in Thoothukudi and is expected to create 2,000 jobs in the state over the next five years. Spanning 60 acres, the plant will focus on manufacturing a wide range of products including regional snacks, biscuits, spices, atta, and edible oil. Rajaa praised Chief Minister MK Stalin’s leadership under the Dravidian Model, highlighting the state’s success in attracting major FMCG players. In a further boost to Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth, BJP leader Amit Malviya shared that Cochin Shipyard Ltd and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd will invest ₹15,000 crore each to set up advanced Greenfield shipyards, creating a combined 55,000 jobs. These projects aim to position Tamil Nadu as a global hub for shipbuilding and maritime innovation, supported by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
