Duleep Trophy Final LIVE: Ishan Kishan Misses Historic Record After Stunning 270

East Zone captain Ishan Kishan fell for 80 in the second innings as his side continued to dominate South Zone on Day 4 of the Duleep Trophy final in Chennai.

Having taken a huge 372-run lead after dismissing South Zone for 336, East Zone reached 164/5 in 42 overs. Kumar Kushagra and Md Kounain Quraishi were at the crease at the end of the latest phase of play.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s second innings ended for just 8 after the 15-year-old was stumped. Shikhar Mohan followed up his impressive 85 in the first innings with a valuable 52.

South Zone captain Tilak Varma missed a well-deserved century by just one run, falling for 99 as his team were bowled out for 336.

East Zone’s commanding position was built on Ishan Kishan’s magnificent 270 in the first innings, which helped them post a mammoth 708. With a 372-run lead, a draw could now be enough for East Zone to lift the Duleep Trophy.
