Shares of DCB Bank surged nearly 10 per cent in Monday’s intra-day trading after the private sector lender reported its highest-ever quarterly profit after tax (PAT) for the June 2026 quarter. The stock price touched ₹204.40 on the BSE, moving closer to its 52-week high of ₹205.75 recorded on April 27, 2026.
The strong market response came amid heavy trading activity, with the bank’s shares witnessing a significant rise in volumes. At 9:52 AM, DCB Bank was trading around 6 per cent higher at ₹196.75, outperforming the broader market, as the BSE Sensex gained 0.83 per cent. Around 6.8 million shares were traded across the NSE and BSE.
According to the bank’s financial results, profit after tax increased 36 per cent year-on-year to ₹213 crore in Q1FY27, compared with ₹157 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Net interest income grew 18 per cent year-on-year to ₹684 crore, while advances and deposits recorded annual growth of 17 per cent and 20 per cent, respectively.
The bank also reported improvement in asset quality, with gross and net non-performing asset ratios declining by 2 basis points and 5 basis points quarter-on-quarter to multi-year lows. The provision coverage ratio improved by 166 basis points, supported by recoveries and upgrades. DCB Bank management said the continued growth in deposits and advances, along with improved profitability and lower credit costs, reflected the bank’s strong performance during the quarter.
